February ScreeningEarly Childhood ScreeningChildren ages 3 and up are required in Minnesota to participate in Early Childhood Screening prior to starting Kindergarten. Screening is free of charge and is a simple check of how your child is growing and developing. The screening will help to determine strengths and skills that your child has, as well as catch any developmental concerns early, which would allow for early intervention before he or she begins school. Our goal is to screen children soon after they turn three years old, but all children must be screened before starting Kindergarten.If your child is between the ages of three to five years old and has not been screened, please register today. You can sign up online by filling out the Early Childhood Screening Registration Form which must be completed to be registered. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after completion. You will receive a confirmation letter and necessary forms via email approximately 2 weeks before the screening date. NewGuitar or Ukulele Lessons (Gr.3 and older)Youth EnrichmentHave you always wanted to learn to play the guitar or the ukulele? Do you have some experience but want to take your playing to the next level? Nathan Davidson is eager to work individually with students of all ages to meet their musical goals. Students will receive one 1/2 hour lesson per week for this seven week session. Registrations will be taken through Community Education; Mr. Davidson will contact you to set up a Tuesday or Thursday lesson time. If the times listed do not work for you, Mr. Davidson may be able to work with your schedule. Please contact us prior to registration to see if this could be an option for you. NewHomecoming Youth Cheer Clinic (Gr. K-4)Youth Fitness & RecreationJoin Coach Amie Pongratz, and the Varsity Cheer Team for a fun week of high energy and excitement. Participants will learn cheers, chants, a cheer routine, and several cheer games. These future cheerleaders will have two practices on Monday and Wednesday, a private showing for parents on Wednesday after practice, performance on Thursday at the Elementary PepFest, and a public appearance at the KoMets half time football game on Friday (meet 5 minutes prior to half-time down by the cheerleaders). 3:30-5pm on Monday & Wednesday (practice) Thursday we will perform at the Elementary School PepFest (more details on time of this PepFest to come)Friday we will perform at halftime of the Homecoming Football game This is a fundraiser for the KoMet Cheer Team; fee includes a Homecoming Cheer Clinic T-Shirt if registered at least three weeks before the start date. *Tuesday of Homecoming week is an early out this year (2026) which is why practices were changed to Monday and Wednesday.CE 2026-2027 -
