This is Biddy’s 26th season supporting the Kasson-Mantorville Community. We are looking forward to another year of building kids through the game of basketball, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Biddy Basketball is a program designed to introduce children to the game of basketball. The major emphasis of the program is to teach children basic skills in an environment that promotes teamwork and fun. The first half of each 35 minute session is devoted to the fundamentals of basketball whereas the second half allows for practicing skills in a scrimmage format. Additional information with rosters, coaches, and schedules will be sent out about a week before the first practice date. Not all late registrations are guaranteed a shirt, late registrations include any registration after the second Friday in December. Please try to have your child wear a shirt the same color as their team color. Who can participate in Biddy Basketball? Children who are in preschool (and are 4 years of age) through 3rd grade. There will be three divisions; all are co-ed:1. Pre-school (est. practice time 8:30 or 9:15am)2. Kindergarten and 1st grade (est. practice time 10 or 10:45am)3. 2nd grade and up (est. practice time 11:30am)Practice times for each age level will be determined once registration is complete, times above are estimates. ALWAYS use the Game Schedule document that is sent out close to the start date to determine when your child plays each week. We encourage all parents to consider volunteering to assist with coaching.
